OTOH Atrax robustus (Sydney funnelweb spider) venom is harmless to cats.

If I recall correctly, mostly harmless. It’s been a very long time since I had cats in funnelweb territory. One of mine, a ginger male, would catch funnelweb spiders, bring them inside and play with them in the hallway. I had 2 small children at the time. A toddler and a crawling bubba.
