A lot of lucky guesses 😎https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12-19/abc-weekly-news-quiz-dec-19/106157746
4.5/10. Pretty much all guesses except for the trees in Hamilton.
London Plane trees grow, well in London all along the foot paths and they don’t seem to have a problem.
Beautiful trees.
They are making a big mess of the paving. And the roots have gone under the shops and out to the back of the shops. And I saw into the hole when they were investigating that one and the roots were also twining around and strangling pipes and wiring conduit. My practice was in a shop on Gray Street. We didn’t have one of the trees right outside the shop. They were planted 30 years ago, so they weren’t there when we bought the building. There are a couple of photos in this article of the damage the trees are doing to buildings. Some of the buildings (including the one we had) are a lot older than the trees. They were a bad choice – very slippery on the footpaths during the annual leaf drop.
