I have a new favourite tomato variety. Principe Borghese, I guess you’d call it a mini roma. I pulled out most of my self seeded cherry tomatoes as they get rather untamed, and planted a few Principe Borghese and I’m so glad I did. It is determinate habit which means it doesn’t want to thug itself all over the garden. It’s just as drought tolerant as my cherry tomatoes too. I’m picking a bowl full every day now and have been giving most of them away, but will make some tomato sauce soon, and chutney.
I’m saving seeds from it if anyone wants to try it

I did try that one here but it wasn’t too successful. I really like Periforme for sauce making. Big, few seeds. My most advanced tomato plants are barely 5cm tall yet. We had cold up until quite recently.

Oh, that should have read 50cm.
