I calculate how many pegs I’ll need while filling the laundry basket from the washing machine.

Stuff my pockets with exact number of pegs. Extract from pockets as needed while pegging items on Hills hoist.

Replace pegs in pocket when removing dry laundry from line. All pegs accounted for when pockets are emptied back into container in the laundry.

I’m way too lazy for that! But I do have two peg buckets which live on the clothesline and different pegs gets sorted into those
