In the 70s there was a bus strike in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. My friends and I hitched rides to and from Bondi Beach.

One car had no door handles on the inside…..and the yobbos in the front wanted to take us to Mt Druitt.

My window was partially down and when we stopped at the lights I yelled out to this pedestrian to open the door, which he did. We escaped into Centennial Park.
