No. Told me to “go to Diabetes Australia web site where there is a lot of useful information”. And gave me a prescription for Metformin 500 mg to be taken three times a day with meals (phased in).
I’d recommend asking about it. I think it is covered or partly covered by Medicare but you may need to be referred. Do you know the current procedure for this poik?
This is from the Diabetes Australia site…you seem to be trying to find information from what you have said here on the forum. I definitely think you should ask your GP for a care plan and referrals and at least once see an educator and a dietician instead of trying to sort through the internet stuff yourself. They will be able to tailor it to you specifically much more efficiently.
