This is from the Diabetes Australia site…you seem to be trying to find information from what you have said here on the forum. I definitely think you should ask your GP for a care plan and referrals and at least once see an educator and a dietician instead of trying to sort through the internet stuff yourself. They will be able to tailor it to you specifically much more efficiently.
Thanks very much for that. I hadn’t seen that page. I had been kludging around in there trying to understand how to get a good diet. (I had though I had an overall good diet, but it seems I can make a few changes to improve it.)
Your diet, from what you say here, seems to be fine. But I am not a professional on this. There is not the emphasis on “forbidden” foods that there once was for diabetics. It’s more on variety and not over doing things.
