It seems that fire on board one of them was more than just a laundry catching fire because somebody forgot to clean the lint filter. It took nearly a whole day to bring this “laundry fire” under control. Naval crews are usually well drilled and trained in damage control and firefighting on board ship.

One carrier has retreated 1000km, and the other is in dock for repairs and awaiting a shipment of ~100 mattresses from a different carrier in the US.

Breaking news, the US has just lost 2 C-130’s in Iran.

I expect the US 82nd Airborne to be annihilated when they attempt to land later this week.
