He just takes some of the money, leaves the pressure tactics on the small farmers to the hired brutes.

Food insecurity in America is just so high. It’s terrible. 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Work 2-3 jobs over 6-7 days then pay rent and skip meals so their kids can eat. Once there is a corporate takeover of all the farms I can’t see things getting any better.
