That was annoying. Last week in my distress I must have left my car key in my jeans pocket. Of course, then I washed my jeans. Consequently, the remote locking stopped working. So I checked online this morning for what size battery, and got one while I was in Hamilton. Well, it’s the wrong size. The You tube I looked at this morning had a key that looked just like mine. Anyway, I’ll have to get the right size when we go to archery this afternoon. I’ve now taken out the old one and can see the size.

The insides looked horrible…they really didn’t like the washing. I’ve cleaned it all up. I’m hoping it will work again with a new battery. If not, I’ll just go back to the oldfashioned way of locking at the driver’s door when I leave the car.

I changed my batteries in both my keys just the other day and now they work for miles.

Update…got the correct battery, wiped out the housing and contacts, put battery in…no go. Oops, battery upside down. Fixed that…still no go. I must have done something horrible to the circuitry in there. So I’ve left it with no battery and I’ll just have to manually lock the car from now on. I managed it like that for years and years and years and years…I’m sure I can do it like that again.
