There are other explanations. The snakes are about and still quite active on warm days. She may have been bitten by a snake out there, she lives very rurally, and as she didn’t have her phone with her, would not have been able to call for help. And from the police report, it seems quite a lot of searching has been happening. You would not know this from the FaceBook posts about it.

I read of some sightings on one of the community pages.

From the police official notice:

“There have been reports Lisa may have been in the Wallacedale and Portland areas in recent days however this information has not been able to be confirmed at this point in time.”

Okay. Are there many people of Asian appearance in the area?
