The Rev Dodgson said:Elephants gestation is about twice as long as humans, which given their large size seems unsurprising.
The long life and late puberty of tortoises does seem a little strange, but (to me) not to the extent of Greenland sharks.
How long do Greenland sharks live?
Long time. Earlier in the thread, I think +500 years was mentioned.
Thanks I thought as much. Shouldn’t sexual maturity, gestation and length of life correlate across species then?
