that one really stuck with me… and so I did…

my son was getting super good at chess by about year four or five.. he was a giant nerd going to chess classes and playing online, and around this time he was learning some meat moves and strategies – the game just appeals to his brain… One day we were playing and I was thinking “Oh shit – he’s finally going to win one against me” but then he made one vital mistake and I swept in and won about two moves later… he realised his mistake and was very annoyed with himself. It was at that moment that I retired undefeated from our chess matches.. and have never played him again (he will be 19 this year).
