But things would rapidly change. All the rocks beneath us are compressed by the material above them. If that force disappeared they would expand outwards with very high accelleration.

I did not think about rocks or tectonic plates. Was only thinking of myself, how selfish.

So the consensus is, loss of gravity is bad.

And a supplementary question…how is it proposed that gravity could be lost? It’s a kind of innate thing between objects.
