yes because they don’t look at individual items on an invoice.. A provider just supplies the invoice. This oversite means that providers, such as a physical therapist, can (and does) charge $90 fro a five minute phone call, $73 for a photocopy, $212 fuel costs to make one home visit and then contact hours on top of that.

The only people the NDIS actually supported were the providers, and they wonder why there is a blowout… but yes, lets limit the amount of people that can access the NDIS as a measure of cost cutting.

I did some work for a blind lady once, editing a children’s book she’d written. She claimed it as “computer assistance” on NDIS and said I could charge $170/hr for it. I’m like, yeah nah, I’m not going to do that.

Oh Art’s it is terrible what is going on.

I wrote up a complaint for a 35 year old woman who is 14 months developmentally. I begged and borrowed to get Legal assistance and found a pro bono and maybe four people knew what I did. The case won and it was about not having folks not trained in the area they are assessing and a ton of other stuff. The case won and the Bill Shorten turns up and its pigs at the trough again.

Even though the case was won the woman didn’t receive the package and money.

Every person I know in Disabilities was working weekends for their clients.

It needs to be a government department with accountability.
