I am glad that Mrs V went to the eldest granddaughter’s wedding. Not being able to wear shoes does make it hard to be ready for wedding vibes. I am glad that she also saw friends and family. I am sorry to read that Mrs V’s father died some years back. My best to her.

I am actually mega, mega pissed off. I was excluded because of a medical condition. I am her oldest living relative. Her father (my son) is dead.

I’d sussed that something was going on, but this wasn’t on my radar. As you know, I experienced something similar with my brother’s wedding. So I understand your angst, anger, sadness and dare I say tears over what was done to you & Mrs V.

For others (who may or may not know) my brother’s wedding invite was for “and friend”. When my father found out who “friend” was, he told my brother he would not be there if I was there with “friend”. Making me persona non gratis in the family. I was told I could take a girl, if I wanted, which only rubbed salt into the wound. Suffice to say I did not go.

So if it helps any, Mr V, these sorts of thing happen a lot in families.
