similar in that a stencil is used. later gestetner were litho based machines, fast but horrible to operate. good luck doing multi-colour prints that had to register.

Apparently non-precise registering was part of the charm.

I’m only asking because an acquaintance living in the Shetland Islands sent me a booklet she’d printed via risograph. I presumed they’d gone the way of the dodo, but having never come across one I’m still hazy as to the nature of them – thanks for your input!
