🚀 In April 2021, the Indian Space Research Organisation shared that its Chandrayaan-2 orbiter
had captured detailed images of historic Apollo landing regions from lunar orbit.

Orbiting about 100 km above the Moon, the spacecraft photographed areas linked to the Apollo 11
and Apollo 12 missions—offering a modern look at some of humanity’s earliest steps beyond Earth.

The images highlight key features of the landing zones, including the descent stages of lunar
modules that still rest on the surface decades later. In the Apollo 12 region, even astronaut
footprints can be traced across the ground.

Because the Moon has no atmosphere, no wind, and no rain, these marks remain preserved for
incredibly long periods with almost no change.

These observations not only support the historical record of lunar missions but also reveal how
unique the Moon’s environment truly is. The untouched tracks, equipment, and landing remnants
continue to stand as lasting evidence of human exploration—showing how those missions
reshaped our understanding of space.
