Good morning everybody.
It’s 21.0° C, 80% RH, partly cloudy and there are light breezes. We are forecast a top of 25° C and showers bringing up to 7 mm. They are most likely to be in the afternoon and evening, as they have the last few days.
Mrs V has suggested we splurge and go down the street for breakfast at “Little Parliament”. They do a nice eggs benedict which is shareable – definitely too big for just one person. They make good coffee, too. She suggested going for a beach walk afterwards, as we have been missing out because of the afternoon rains.
Her idea for dinner is lentil Bolognese with wholemeal pasta.
I need to feed my stuck wholemeal sourdough starters. I have two now and I hope that one or other becomes active soon. I’ll give them another week before I give up feeding them and start all over. They are moderately sour, but the yeast activity is low.
The kimchi has gone extremely well though. It has a lovely complex sour flavour already, and the last few days of strong ferment activity has dropped considerably. It is almost ready for the fridge.
