When living becomes harder, history repeats and people blame immigrants, marginalised people, people considered strange (different religions usually).
When it goes too far it becomes fascism and they are devalued to the point killing them becomes OK

Neoliberalism shifts us from being citizens of a country, with rights and responsibilities, to being consumers in a “market place”. If we didn’t make good choices like being born into a wealthy family, then we are to blame.
