Depression in seniors is not unusual. See your GP.

In the past I have tried many anti-depressants (depression has been an ongoing issue). Every one has either had really nasty side effects, or didn’t work at all.

I talked to a pdychiatrist and she said if you can’t tell me that you are depressed, I cannot give you any drugs.
Which of course wasn’t what I wanted anyway.
I have to keep telling myself that happiness simply is. It need not be pursued.
