The retreat was great, the food was excellent, the experiences were good, skin brushing is like a massage with a small broom. It actually isn’t bad. There was one person who was a bit of a PITA. Luckily I only had to see them at meal times. Other than that a very relaxing week.
Not many photos though the kangaroos were brave and came super close, I kept a safe distance from them because they have super sharp claws and are essentially wild, there were kookaburras, some different types of parrots, a skink or two, I only managed to find two mushrooms. But it wasn’t nearly as rainy as I expected.
Sounds a pleasant little holiday.
Everything they made was plant based… and so, I’m convinced that plant based diets can work and be fulfilling etc etc… but fuck it feels like a lot of work… it’s delicious, don’t get me wrong, you do not have to compromise flavour, but there are added elements that I just wouldn’t do… the extra nuts and seeds and oils etc… And while I don’t actually have a lot of dairy in my diet – I found myself wanting some cheese…. Still. New experiences and all that.
I also did sound therapy, or healing or whatever they call it.. I quite liked that… the noise helped block out the chaos in my brain for a bit…. Would I actively seek it out? Probably not, but it was a nice experience
It would be an interesting change. I wouldn’t mind a whole month or two in a decent health resort.
Whenever I go to bed these days I put various white noise on the stereo in there. Does seem to help me relax, although the other night I forgot to turn it on, and was wondering why everything seemed so…peaceful :)
